Nimrod Congratulates Gummel, Wishes Nigerians The Best In 2019

President, Nigeria Volleyball Federation, Engineer Musa Nimrod has congratulated the former president of the Federation, member of the CAVB and FIVB, treasurer of ANOCA as well as three time president of NOC, Alhaji Habu Gumel on his re-election as the president of the Nigeria Olympic Committee, BSNSport.com.ng reports.

Nimrod also wishes all sports stakeholders Merry Christmas and prosperous new year. He appreciated all stakeholders as well as media for their support so far, enjoined them to continue to support the federation in 2019.

He however charged corporate bodies to come out in large numbers to sponsor the activities of the Federation stressing that the game of Volleyball judging by its modest achievements is a "sellable" game which has been widely accepted and recognised in the country, continent and the whole world.

Eng. Nimrod also enjoined the players to start preparing for the next volleyball season in order for them to keep it to be counted worthy and fit to represent the country in the continental matches slated for 2019.

On the development programmes of the Federation, the NVBF President disclosed that the Federation will further pay premium attention to the discovery of budding talents that will be nurtured to take over from the ageing and retired ones.

He, however, sought further cooperation, the unity of purpose and oneness of the board members, coaches and players in the Federation's resolve to take the game to an enviable status in 2019.

In a statement signed by the federation scribe Adamu Maikano which reads in parts:

"On behalf of the board of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation, the President of the Federation, Engineer Musa Nimrod is wishing all the stakeholders happy Christmas and prosperous New Year.

"He also used the occasion to congratulate the former president of the Federation, member of the CAVB & FIVB, treasurer of ANOCA as well as three time president of NOC, Alhaji Habu Gumel on his re-election as the president of the Nigeria Olympic Committee praying Almighty Allah to give him a divine wisdom,knowledge & strength to steer the ship of the committee for the next four years.

While reviewing the modest achievements recorded in the outgoing year, Eng. Nimrod appreciated all the stakeholders for their supports so far imploring them to further support the Federation in 2019.
