Nimrod hails ministry of sports over National Youth Games

President of Nigeria Volleyball Federation Eng Musa Nimrod has hailed the Federal ministry of Youth and Sports Development under Hon. Sunday Dare for the Success recorded at the ongoing National Youth Games in Ilorin, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Youths from over 36 states and Federal Capital Territory are jostling for honour at the Games in 34 sports. The 5th edition of the events started on 7th and will come to an end on 17th September, 2019.
Nimrod while reacting to questions from BSN reporter gave kudos to Minister of Sports and further explained the programme of the his federation.
"I am pleased with federal ministry of Youth and Sports by organising U15 Games and everyone can also see U10 but the most important is for the ministry to continue searching for fresh talents.
"We have seen some players and we are going to invite those players for at least 2 weeks to camp to know the level they are in.
"Greatest challenge for volleyball in the country now is female team, in the male team I think for the next 10 years we have the players but we need to look for more player for the female team.
"I know some zone will be hosting U17 female competition and am also encouraging them so that we see more female players.
"I am pleased with the performance of teams at the National Youth Games, I'm one of the agitators of the U15 and the ministry heard us and am pleased with that.
"This a wonderful idea, it is a step forward in a right directions, I gave this games 85 percent.
"We are the only federation in this country that goes round the zones by sponsoring the coaches and game masters to coaching course and we are succeeding on that because I saw some game masters on the bench in this games," he concluded.
