NNL Announces Postponement of League Resumption Indefinitely - Latest Sports in Nigeria

The management of the Nigeria National League has announced the postponement of the country's second tier Football League indefinitely, BSNSports.com.ng can report.
According to a statement signed by the media officer, Amar Ignis, the league which supposed to resume tomorrow Friday 10th, 2020 as earlier scheduled will not start until further notice.
You will recall that the the League went on a two weeks Christmas break as demanded by club owners and granted by the League management, to enable stakeholders stay with their family members and loved ones during the festive season
The two weeks break was embarked upon on Sunday 22nd of December, 2019.
The NNL which regrets the postponement, informs that the latest decision is necessitated by the current discussions between the NNL management and relevant authorities of the parent body, the Nigeria Football Federation, the NFF on crucial and critical issues raised by NNL Club Owners, Proprietors and Managers Meeting held in Abuja, which has been communicated to the NNL.
The Nigeria National League will revert to the clubs and stakeholders when the League will now resume as soon as an understanding is reached in the ongoing parley with the authorities.
