3SC PIP JOY COMETH IN FRIENDLY TIE

By Tosin Omojola

Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan on Wednesday, pipped Joy Cometh FC of Lagos 2-1 in a friendly match decided at the Lekan Salami Stadium.

The game, organised to put both sides in shape ahead of the resumption of the Nigeria Nigeria League (NNL), was keenly contested as the visitors gave the homers a good fight.

Joy Cometh did well enough to hold the Stars until they eventually caved in in the 44th minute when Opeoluwa Olufemi connected home Fatai Gbadamosi's pass.

The second half was barely two minutes hold when Mohammed Mohammed doubled the homers' lead.

Daniel Adeniran pulled one back for Joy Cometh, capitalising on a slight mix up at the 3SC rear in the 66th minute.

Both sides efforts to add to score more goals yielded no dividend till the referee brought proceedings to an end.
