Youthful and enterprising Sanni Nurudeen had sped from the centre on a counter move to beat the two centre defenders before releasing a neat pass to lurking Akombo Ukeyima who was quick to bury it forcefully at the right side of the helpless goal keeper. The goal and the manner it came silenced the already agitated home crowd some of whom had moved closer to the technical area to pressurize the referees for undue advantage. Before then, there have been series of attacking exchanges between the teams with the visitors soaking the pressures, couple with Goalkeeper Lucky Jimoh outstanding performance in the posts. On many occasions, Shooting Stars defence quartet of Waheed Omololu, Abbey Benson, Shittu Taiwo and Mutiu Ogundimu were on their toes to absorb antics of their opponents. At about 79 minutes, Coach Edith Agoye had to bring in Samuelson Ngongo in the defence to replace also effective Opeyemi Olufemi upfront for our only change in the match.
