Friendly Match: ABS, Crown to lock horns

Abubakar Bukola Saraki (ABS) FC, will on Thursday in Ilorin lock horns with Crown FC of Ogbomoso in a friendly match.

The team's Director of Football, Alloy Chukwuemeka, confirmed this to the club's media on Wednesday.

He said the match is scheduled for 9:00am inside the Main Bowl of the Kwara Stadium Complex, Ilorin.

Chukwuemeka said the friendly became imperative in order to put the players in proper shape ahead of the restart of the 2019/2020 Nigeria National League (NNL), which is yet to have a resumption date.

Speaking about the friendly after his Wednesday's morning training, ABS head coach, Yomi Elijah, said the match is another opportunity to see some players who have stepped up in training even before the break.

"We are trying to give more players opportunity, this is another big chance for us to do so.

"The match will present us an opportunity to test new style and to see if the guys are responding to new ways we are trying to play" Elijah said.

The former Kogi United gaffer, said he hope to play more grade A matches before the restart of the league.
