NNL Confirms Promotion of 36 Lions FC, Green Beret FC, 6 Other From NLO

The management of Nigeria National League on Friday confirmed the promotion of eight teams from Nationwide League Div. One (NLO) to the NNL, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

According to the Media Officer of the second tier league, Amar Ignis, 36 Lions of Lagos, Green Beret FC of Kaduna, Lamray FC and Giant Briller from Enugu state, FC Yarmalight of Gombe, Ibom Youth FC of Akwa Ibom, De Sapele Lions FC who bought Kwara Feeders FC slot, and Bida Lions of Niger state have all gained promotion to play in the 2019 NNL season.

It is told www.bsnsports.com.ng that the list of the eight promoted teams was submitted to him by the Chief Operating Officer of Nationwide League Div. One (NLO), Mr. Shola Ogunnowo.

"Yes, these are the teams that gained promotion from the NLO, the list of the right teams was released by the Chief Operating Officer, Shola Ogunnowo, " Amar told Basic Sports in Nigeria (BSN Sports)

"The management of the Nigeria National League welcome the new eight teams as they start preparations for the 2019 NNL season which kicks off . The eight (8) teams that were promoted from the Nationwide League ONE, the NLO."

From Lagos:

  1. 36 Lions FC

Kaduna:

  1. Green Beret FC

Enugu:

  1. Lamray FC
  2. Giant Briller FC

From Gombe:

  1. FC Yarmalight

Akwa Ibom:

  1. Ibom Youth FC

Delta:

  1. De Sapele Lions FC (They Bought Kwara Feeders FC)

Niger:

  1. Bida Lions FC

NNL was initially billed to kick off on 19th January, going by the last AGM in Abuja. Obviously, that was not feasible as new date is expected to be determined by the same Congress soon.
