NNL Corruption: Ahmed Fresh At EFCC Headquarters For Questioning

Nigeria Football Federation board member, Ahmed Yusuf Fresh is presently undergoing investigation at the Economic and Financial Crime Commission, EFCC, headquarters in Abuja over the sales of Nigeria National League slot for Twelve million and five hundred thousand (N12.5m) naira.

Fresh, as he is fondly called was summoned by the EFCC on Monday morning to clear his name as he was fingered to be part of the dirty deals rocking the NNL.

A reliable source told www.bsnsports.com.ng that two NNL slots were created in Ahmed Yusuf parlour and according to the source who did not want his name mentioned, as investigation revealed that monies were allegedly traced to Ahmed Fresh's personal account concerning the NNL scandal.

The source added that efforts are being made by the affected NFF members to reach out to the EFCC Chairman, Ibrahim Magu to settle it amicably.

"NFF board member, Ahmed Yusuf Fresh has been invited and is presently at the EFCC headquarters in Abuja to clear his name in the corruption scandal rocking the Nigeria National League, " the source said.

"Some amount of money was paid to him after creating two NNL slots in his parlour." The source alleged.

The source also informed www.bsnsports.com.ng that NFF Secretary General, Dr. Sanusi Muhammed will also be invited by the EFCC.

It would be recalled that Emmanuel Zira, Layi Adesiyan and Abdul Sule were invited and detained by the EFCC last week.
