The Nigeria National League side, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission Football Club (EFCC FC) chief coach, Kabiru Owolabi has said that the team remained focused on their objective to gain promotion to the elite league, BSNSports.com.ng can report.

EFCC FC on Friday defeated Rarara FC 2-0 at the Area 3 Sports Complex in one of the NNL match-day 4 matches while their next game will be a trip to Maiduguri to face El-Kanemi Warriors next weekend.

Speaking with Bsnsports.com.ng after the match on Friday, Kabiru reiterated the management's goal of promotion the team to the Nigeria Professional Football League next season.

"The team management remain focused and have told us that we should go all out to pick one of the promotion ticket to the NPFL." Kabiru told BSN Sports.

He added his boys are fired up to go to Maiduguri and points on the road.

"With the two matches played, i have seen the weaknesses of the team and we will work on it before our journey to Maiduguri where we will face El-Kanemi Warriors. We are fired up to continue our good form and we try all our efforts to win or at least pick a point.

He however, admitted that Rarara FC gave them a run for their money before his team finally overcame at the tail end.

Rarara FC gave us a good fight because in the second half they came out searching for the equaliser but kudos to my players doing the job diligently, not relenting until they got the second goal.

"When the goal failed to come, i told my boys that they must stick to our style of play and should not lose concentration, definitely the goals will come."
