NNL holds AGM, draws 6th March 2019 By Sampson Adedeji Nigeria National Leagues has scheduled its Annual General Meeting for 6th March, 2019, Bsnsports.com.ng reports. The league body will also conduct the draw for the league same day at the Prestigious Brookville Hotel and Suites in Gaduwa District of the city venue of the AGM. This is contained in a statement signed by the Media officer, Amar Ignis which reads thus; Bet9ja NNL NEWS UPDATE Annual General Meeting/Draw For 2018/2019 League Season. "Barring any unforeseen development the Annual General Meeting(AGM) of Clubs and management of Bet9ja Nigeria National League, NNL and draws to a her in the new Football season, will hold Wednesday 6th March 2019 in Abuja, Nigeria's capital city. "The annual meeting a ritual precursor to the kickoff, of the 2019 League season is billed to hold at the prestigious Brookville Hotel and Suites in Gaduwa District of the city. "The AGM provides a crucial platform for stakeholders to discuss the planned business and programmes for the year by NNL." The statement added. "The Annual meeting will amongst others approve the kickoff date fixed for the 13th of this month and the Leagues format for the new season." The statement concluded. Last season , the NNL adopted an abridged format of four groups -A1, A2, and B1, B2 often(10)clubs in each group totaling forty (40) teams. The Nigeria National League, NNL is the second tier Most Important" division of the Nigeria Football Leagues and the second -highest and biggest overall in the Nigeria Football Leagues after the Nigeria Premier League otherwise known as the Nigeria Professional Football League, which is abbreviated as, NPFL. Meanwhile, the league body will also conduct the draw for the league same day at the Prestigious Brookville Hotel and Suites in Gaduwa District of the city venue of the AGM. "The 2017/2018 season of the league ended in a controversial manner which involved the League Management Company who organized the Nigeria Professional Football League. And in order to avoid similar occurrence, league deemed it fit to iron out some issues and also approve the 13th of March as the kick-off date for the league. Last season abridged format of four groups of 10 clubs was adopted with the groups tagged A1, A2, B1, and B2. It's yet to be seen if Super 8 will also be adopted in the coming season.
