All three Nigeria National League matches played at the Area 3 Sports Complex, Abuja in the match-day 1 of the 2019/20 season ended in draws. In group A1, Road Safety FC on Saturday afternoon were held by Zamfara United in a 1-1 draw. Nigerian Air Force FC came back from a 1-0 down to draw level against Nasarawa based Aklosendi in a controversial game that many believed would have been won by the hosts if at least one of their three penalty appeals was granted by the center referee, BSNSports.com.ng can report.

Oyah Sports on their adopted home at Area 3 Sports Complex were also held by traveling Kogi United to a 0-0 draw. In Kaduna, at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kada City outscored Abubakar Bukola Saraki [ABS] FC 2-1 as Green Beret versus Kebbi United at the Zaria Township Stadium ended 1-1. In Maiduguri, Malumfashi at the Malumfashi Stadium pipped DMD FC 1-0.

In group A2, Niger Tornadoes at the Kotangora stadium in Minna, pipped Sokoto United as Rarara FC of Katsina were held to a goalless draw by mighty Jets of Jos. Kwara United at the pipped Gombe 1-0 at the Ilorin Township Stadium.

In Southern Conference, in group B1, Osun United in Oshogbo defeated Ekiti United, Gateway United at the Abeokuta International Stadium beat Giants Brillars. Nilayo FC at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta drew 1-1 with Abia Comets. 3SC at the Lekan Salami Stadium recorded their first home win with a 3-0 defeat to Go-Round Eagles as Dynamite are 2-0 better than Apex Kraine.

In group B2, Crown FC at the Soun Ogbomosho stadium beat Bayelsa United 3-1 as Bendel Insurance defeated J. Atete 2-0 at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium.
