  NNL MatchDay 1 Wrap: Tornadoes Win Big As The Nigeria National League Kick-off By Omolagba Oluwayemi After doubts about the start of matchday one, the second tier of Nigeria football league, the NNL made a return yesterday with matches played across different centres, BSNsports.com.ng reports. From the Northern Conference, in Group A1, FC Taraba secured a vital away point playing 2-2 draw against EFCC in Abuja, same for Gombe United who also secured a 2-2 away in Kastina against Rarara FC. Sokoto United defeated Aklosendi International by a lone goal. El-Kanemi Warriors will have to wait till next week for their first match as they are standing bye. In Group A2, Niger Tornadoes started on high thumping Shekarau FC 4-0 at the Kontagora Stadium in Minna. Road Safety FC and ABS FC played out a goalless draw, Kebbi United pipped Yobe Desert Stars by a lone goal. Malumfashi FC did not turn up for their home game against Zamfara United. In the Southern Conference, Group B1, it was a good start it was for Vandreszzer FC of Lagos as they forced Delta Force to a goalless draw despite playing with 10 men for larger part of the game. At the Agege Stadium Lagos, Stores FC of Lagos were held to a 1-1 draw by Giant Brillars of Enugu. Osun United held Go-Round FC to 1-1 draw in Omoku. In Group B2, J'Atete defeated Abia Comets 2-1 while Ibom Youth and One Rocket FC played 1-1 as Bendel Insurance will have to wait till next match day before playing their first game having been drawn bye for the round. Week one matches continue today with the following fixtures to take place across different centres. In Group A1, Oya Sports Int'l will host Green Berets FC at the Bako Kotangora Stadium Minna while NAF FC will lock horns with Mighty Jets of Jos at the Area 3 Playing Ground, Abuja. In Group B1, three matches will come up today. 3SC will host Rovers FC, why Dynamite Force and Ekiti United will slug it out for the 3 points. FC Nilayo will welcome Nnewi United to the MKO Stadium, Abeokuta. And finally in Group B2, it will be Joy Cometh FC and Gateway United at the Agege Stadium why Apex Krane will host Bayelsa United in Delta. Remo Stars will play host to Godosky FC in the final match of the round.
