NNL Play-Off: It Is Now Or Never - Rasheed Balogun To 3SC By Omolagba Oluwayemi Ahead of the Nigeria National League Super 8 set to start on Tuesday September 7, 2021, the general manager of Shooting Stars Sports Club Ibadan, Rasheed Balogun has charged his side to give their all for the promotion, BSNSports.com.ng reports. While addressing the players and officials of the club after Wednesday's evening training on the turf of the remodeled Lekan Salami Stadium, Rasheed Balogun said - "it is now or never," regarding the team's quest for a return to the Nigerian topflight, the NPFL. "I commend you guys for a job welldone in the regular season. It was a very commendable performance that you put up and I must say a big thank you to you all for that impressive feat. "However, I need not to tell you that as much as our fans and supporters were happy that we did well to secure the play off ticket, what they are really after is the promotion ticket," he added. This is what these people want as anything short of that, will be disappointing." "Let us go there and prove that we do not belong to the NNL and come back home to deliver the ticket to the our ever supportive governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde and the good people of Oyo State." Balogun further assured that players and officials of the club his support and that of the state government. "On our part, we will do everything humanly possible to support you. You should all know that it is now or never as far as gaining promotion is concerned for this big club called Shooting Stars." Gombe United FC, El-Kanemi Warriors FC of Maiduguri, Niger Tornadoes FC, DMD FC of Borno, Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan, Ekiti United, Bendel Insurance and Remo Stars will all take part in the Nigeria National League (NNL) play off, to be staged at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu between Tuesday 7th and Sunday 11th September, 2021.
