  NNL Releases Statistical Analysis Half Season Of 2020-2021 By Omolagba Oluwayemi With the second stanza of the 2020/2021 NNL season set to commence on Friday 30 April, 2021, the Nigeria National League have released the statistical data analysis of the first stanza, BSNSports.com.n reports. The first stanza produces some key moments and amazing performances across the two conferences with hat-tricks, braces and some wonderful solo goals not forgetting unbelievable safes, amazing defensive pairings, unbeaten runs and wonderful away performances from the likes of Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan and also the beautiful branding of the league which we saw Vandrezzer FC of Lagos do. All these made the league competitive and also gained attention from across the globe although it encounter some difficulties towards the break as some private clubs withdrew due to poor game management from the NNL officials. Starting with the Northern Conference, in Group A, Barnabas Daniel of Gombe United led the scorers chat with six (6) goals, his teammates Ahmed Jimoh and Sani Shehu scored the first and fastest goal of the group in 23 minutes and 22 seconds against Rarara FC and Aklosendi Int’l respectively. Meanwhile Olalere Dauda of Mighty Jets of Jos got the only hat-trick of the group. El-Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri ended the half as best behaved team with the list number of cautions. Gombe United, EL-kanemi Warriors and FC Taraba finished the half as the best attacking teams with ten goals each and El-Kanemi also boost of the best defense having conceded only three goals. In the group, four away wins, 26 draws while 158 number of goals were scored. In Group A2 of the conference, Josiah Ochei of Niger Tornadoes top the scorer's chart with six(6) goals, followed by Charles Eguavoen of ABS and Mustapha Danazumi of K&G Shekarau who are tied on five (5) goals. Jubril Abdullahi of Kogi United and Dayyabu Hamza of Yobe DS take credit for the fastest goal in the group at 2minutes each. Five (5) players namely: Abraham Audu (DMD FC), Lucky Odejare (DMD FC), Mustapha Danazumi (K&G Shekarau), Owolabi Aremu (Kebbi United) and Ochei Josiah (Niger Tornadoes) all bagged brace in the group. Niger Tornadoes are the best attacking team with 15 goals while Zamfara are the best behaved side. Niger Tornadoes and Malumfashi FC hold the record of the teams with the best defense for conceding 5 goals each. At the end of the half, the group recorded 3 away wins and 18 draws and a total of 184 goals scored. The Southern Conference lived up to expectations, brimming fantastic results and records in the first stanza. In Group B1, high riding Olafimihan Gaffar of 3SC leads the scorer's chat with ten(10) goals and also hold the record for the fastest goal in the group scored in 3rd minute against FC Nilayo. Olafimihan Gaffar’s near excellent showings has equally seen him score a hattrick on two different occasions. Gaffar leads four(4) others on the brace grade. Also on the same two goals list are: Cyril Patrick (Dynamite Force FC) Iyahmo Mohammed Moudu (Giant Brillars) Charles Ikwuemesi (Giant Brillars) Daniel Josiah (Rovers of Calabar) and Timothy Akinyemi (Ekiti United). Ihezuo Emmanuel (Delta Force) with 5 goals is the closest to Gafar on the scorer's chat. Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan (3SC) ended the stanza as the most prolific team in attack and defense boosting a total of 21 goals scored against opponents and conceding only thrice. Rovers of Calabar and Ekiti United are the best behaved teams. A total of 119 goals were scored, with six away wins and 16 draws also on record. And wrapping up the analysis, we move to Group B2 of the Southern Conference where Abel Abbah of FC ONE Rocket with 5 goals top the scorer's chat, closely followed by five players who are tied on four (4) goals. They are; Morgan Agbeko (Remo Stars) Adisa Daniel (Joy Comeths) Edja Samson (J’Atete) Damso Edo (Ibom Youths) and Egbo Othuke (Apex Krane). The fastest goal in the group is scored by Andrew Ebino (FC ONE Rocket) and Elijah Simon (Bendel Insurance) at 2minutes. Ten (10) players scored braces and they are; Egbo Othuke (Apex Krane FC), Adisa Daniel (Joy Comeths), Olowu Lucky (Joy Comeths), Roberth Mizo (Bayelsa Utd), Muyiwa Oritseweyuwi (Bendel Insurance), Tobi Adeyi (Crown FC), Abel Abbah (FC ONE Rocket), Okolo Michael (Gateway Utd), Namso Edo (Ibom Youths) and Ebenezer Akinsanmiro (Remo Stars). Bayelsa United’s 16 goals made them the best attacking team of the round and Remo Stars has the best defense record conceding the least number of goals (7goals) while Apex Krane is the team with best conduct. One hundred and fifty five (155) were scored in 77 games, three matches were won away.
