NNL Roundup: Remo, Bayelsa Utd, 3SC Record Home Wins As Rovers Defeat Osun In Ilorin
By Omolagba Oluwayemi
There seems to be no way to stop 3SC in the NNL this season as they win yet another match to extend their perfect run to 8, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The Oluyole Warriors will have Gafar Olafimihan who scored a first half hattrick to thank for their latest win in the league and with 8 wins in 8 games, 3SC looks set for the playoffs but anything is possible in football.
Calabar Rovers inflicted the first home loss on Osun United in their adopted home ground in Ilorin.
A late strike by Ilevbare Daniel of Rovers FC dented the hope of Osun United to return to the second position on the log of Group B1 in a highly explosive encounter played at the Ilorin Township Stadium on Wednesday.
Two second half goals from midfielder Favour Martins (53') and Timothy Zuobemi (75') gave Bayelsa United a comfortable two nil victory over Gateway United of Abeokuta at the Samson Siasia stadium, Yenagoa.
Remo Stars pipped J'Atete by a lone goal while Yobe Stars defeated ABS 2-0.
