NNL: Shooting Stars Paraded Youngest Squad Last Season - Popoola

Shooting Stars assistant coach Yinka Popoola popularly known as Gullit as stated the reasons the Oluyole Warrior has a splendid outing last season, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Before the cancellation of the Nigeria National League ( NNL), Shooting Stars had good run of form in the season with amazing results.

Popoola confirmed that majority of the players plying their trade with the Oluyole Warriors are youth which enabled them earned good performance.

He further explained that the club also has experienced players which complemented the efforts of the young players.

"When we are talking about youth, it started from 18 to 35 year old not 13 year old boys.

"In Shooting Stars, we have the youngest squad in the league for now and I can say it loud and clear that we have 96 percent of our players as youth because we signed players that are younger this time around.

"Players within the ages of 16 to 23 years but we have some experienced players as well.

Majority of Shooting Stars players for last season were youth", he said.

Before the league was stopped the Ibadan soccer Lords was the only team that was unbeaten after 5 round of matches.
