NNL Super 8 Play-Off: Tornadoes On The Verge Of NPFL Return By Omolagba Oluwayemi Niger Tornadoes are on the verge of returning to the Nigeria Professional Football League, BSNSports.com.ng reports. Tornadoes who got relegated from the elite division league in 2019 defeated El Kanemi Warriors 2-0 in their second group game played on Wednesday morning to put themselves in a poll position to pick one of the two tickets available for the group. Drew the first match e DMD, Tornadoes needed a win to pull clear off others in the group and it was a job well done for them. The game heading towards what would've been the third draw TV the group came to life when Daniel Edeh (82') opened the scoring and with less than two minutes to the end of the regulation time, Munir Idris (88') put the game beyond the reach of El Kanemi Warriors. The NNL Super 8 Play-Off continues today with DMD and Gombe United set to go head-to-head for their first win in Group A while in Group B, it'll be a clash of the titans between two former NPFL clubs (Remo Stars V Shooting Stars) and Ekiti United and Bendel Insurance will look to redeem their images after losing their first Group games.
