EDITH AGOYE SAYS NPFL FATE BACK IN 3SC HANDS AFTER 2-0 WIN AGAINST DELTA FORCE

Shooting Stars Sports Club, 3SC, Ibadan head coach, Edith Agoye has revealed the Oluyole Warriors are back in contention for a return to the NPFL following his team's 2-0 defeat of Delta Force in Monday afternoon's NNL bet9ja Nigeria National League Super 8 Playoffs clash at Enyimba Stadium, Aba.

It was a positive response by Shooting Stars after their opening match 3-0 humiliation by Remo Stars which looked like evaporating their promotion aspiration this term.

After a barren first half, Ayobami Junior handed the Ibadan side a deserved lead finishing off a smart move from the right with a snappy shot that ricocheted against the side of the pillars and into the net.

Opeoluwa Olufemi made it 2-0 on the dot of 90 minute.

Shots cast a mood of of a satisfied man when he said afterwards his NPFL fate is now supremely in their hands.

"I'm delighted we won. It means our fate (of securing promotion ticket) is now in our hands", Agoye said.

"It was a difficult match. We knew Delta Force are a strong side and we rose up to the party.

"We played well like we did against Remo Stars but the difference is just that we were to get the important goals".

Shooting Stars will take on Insurance on Wednesday in the final match of the Southern Conference of the NNL super 8 playoff.
