At the Dipo Dino Stadium in Ijebu Ode, Gafar Olafimihan from the penalty spot put 3SC 1-0 up going into break and Opeoluwa Olufemi made it 2-0 after the break but a superb free-kick from Uzochi Ejilab reduced the deficit for Nnewi United to leave the final score at 2-1.
A brace from Edikan Johnson (30', 53) and one from Wellington Agholor (82') help Dynamite Force ease past FC Nilayo 3-0 while a goal in each half from Zakka Bala (Pen 10', 79') give El Kanemi Warriors a 2-0 win over Green Berets.
