Bayelsa United Promotion Aspiration May Suffer A Setback Due To Finance.

Bayelsa United week two encounter between Bayelsa United and Bendel Insurance in the Nigeria National League may suffer a setback over financial issues as reports indicate, BSNSports.com.ng can report.

It was gathered that the Bayelsa state commissioner of finance Mr. Maxwell Ebibai,  the state Accountant General,  as well as the Director Of Treasury has refused to  honour Governor Seriake Dickson’s financial approval for the game .

The report came shortly after the team’s last training this morning, however, officials of the Club have made several efforts to the see that the team is not walked over on  Sunday even though  their chances of honouring the fixture is getting slimmer by the day.

The 2019/20 Nigeria National League matchday 2 encounter which suppose to be held at the Samson Siasia Stadium, Yenogoa, Bayelsa state, this weekend, may witness the first walkover in the season as there is no money to prosecute the match as at Friday.

Meanwhile, all efforts to speak with the chairman of Bayelsa United Mr. Tony Ogola have proved abortive.
