NNL Wrap: Tony Bolus Gets First Win As Vandrezzer's Manager, Gombe United Edge El Kanemi In Top Of Table Clash
By Omolagba Oluwayemi
Relieved it was for Tony Bolus after the referee blew the final whistle at the Soccer Temple yesterday, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The veteran Nigeria league coach gets his first three points for his new side at the third time of asking and it was an hard-fought 2-1 victory over second place, Go-Round FC.
Although Vandrezzer remained 2nd from the bottom, the win was a morale booster needed to help them overcome their recent challenges.
It ended 2-0 in favour of Gombe United who displaced their week 15 rival, El Kanemi Warriors on top of the log.
With both teams in pole position to pick the two play-off tickets for the group, it was a match to remember and learn from for both sides who are currently placed 1st and 2nd with same points on the log.
Nnewi United condemned Stores to the bottom of the log after defeating them by a lone goal while Green Berets and Taraba FC shared the spoils in Abuja.
Yobe Deserts on the road defeated Road Safety while Osun United picked a point away at Rovers.
