Akin Duduosun
The campaign of the Super Eagles in the 2019 African Nations Cup in Egypt is rubbing off negatively on the Nigeria Women national U20 team who are currently in camp preparing for the next month's All African Games in Morocco.
www.bsnsports.com.ng can report that the team is having a shambolic preparation as their is no bus to convey the team for training at the FIFA Goal Project pitch, Package B of the MKO Abiola Stadium, Abuja where their training suppose to be held.
As at the time of writing this report, unconfirmed report has it that the Secretary General of the Nigeria Football Federation as well as Head of Women Football are in Egypt, leaving the team in mobility crisis and training challenges after three days in camp.
As at this morning, the team could not train as they were stopped from using the Old Parade Ground pitch because there was no prior notice nor permission to use the pitch.
The team were forced to continue their training activities on a small and unplayable field at the team's Agura Hotel.
BSN Sports further gathered that the team are making arrangements to train at the Goal Project with the availability of a bus.
In our investigation, sources at the Sports Ministry explained that all Sports Federations have been mandated to supervise the preparations of their teams. However, efforts made to confirm the development with the NFF ended in futility as our correspondent could not establish the communication with NFF secretary general and it's head of women's football.
