By Niyi Busari The deputy director of Federation of Elite Athletes Department, Mr Stanley Okebu has debunked the news making rounds that some athletes whereabout was unknown immediately the XXI Commonwealth Games in Australia ends www.bsnsports.com.ng repprts Speaking with BSN Sports shortly after their arrival from Australia at the Nnamdi Azikiwe international Airport Abuja, Okebu stated that about ten (10) athletes booked their ticket destination to Lagos while foreign based athletes were released to go back to their base. Okebu stressed that no report of any missing athletes has officially got to the Ministry Of Youth and Sports Deparment. "I am not aware that any athletes got missing from Nigeria contingents that went to Australia. As you can see three buses are filled up with the athletes. Though, i cannot state the number of athletes that are in Abuja now because about ten athletes booked Lagos ticket while foreign based have already travel back yo their base." "So, officially this is the situation on ground. Until we get to the hotel where we are going to make analysis of the home based and the foreign based. So that we can now give accurate numberof athletes that are here with us in Abuja."
