Noah Dallaji Legacy U-17 Basketball Tournament Dunks Off 8 August In Kano By Abdulgafar Oladimeji The Noah Dallaji Legacy Basketball Men’s tournament will flag off on Sunday 8 August at the Kofar Mata Indoor Sports Hall. The director administration African Children Talents Discovery Foundation (ACTDF), Mohammed Abubakar Ambusso told sports writers on Friday y in Kano that 10 teams are scheduled to compete in the tournament. He disclosed that basketball teams from Kano, Kaduna , Kebbi, Niger, Taraba, Kwara, Gombe and Plateau will file out to showcase their talents during the tournament. Ambusso note that the motive of staging the tournament is to help rid the streets of talented youths, whose posses the potentials to become successful in their diverse choice career in life. He stressed that the tournament will also feature mentorship sessions where the young participants will be mentored by prominent citizens who will appear as guest . He said “ACTDF has worked in other states and this time we are in Kano, our choice of Kano is due to the support from the government and the good people of Kano, due to their love for sports and to also provide the avenue for talented Kano youths to exploit the opportunities presented at our programmes. “Always the vision and Mission of ACTDF is centred on providing the less privilege, people with disabilities (PWD) with the platform to groom their talent to rise to stardom.
