Norby IF Goalkeeper Chooses Nigeria Ahead of Italy

By Editor

Sweden-born young goalkeeper, Abraham Oluware, has pledged his international allegiance to Nigeria.

Oluware snubbed Sweden, Italy and Croatia for Nigeria after the lanky goal tender choose the African football powerhouse ahead of the three European countries. He said his ambition is to play for the Golden Eaglets of Nigeria who have won the cadet World Cup a record five(5) times and Oluware is eyeing a spot in the Eaglets when the next FIFA U17 World Cup kickstarts in 2021.

On his decision he said: "I was born in Boras Sweden but I'm from Nigeria. My dad is Nigerian and my mom is Italian and growing up I am eligible to represent Nigeria, Sweden, Italy and Croatia but I want to represent Nigeria.

"I thank God I want to represent Nigeria because it's a country I love, it means a lot to me. Ever since I was a kid I have been supporting Nigeria and watching their games. I have been motivated and better in training because of my wish to represent Nigeria," he said.

Oluwadare has had an impressive career so far, representing U-15 and U-17 teams of Norrby IF.
