North-East Basketball Tournament To Kick-Off Today By Niyi Busari The North-East Basketball Challenge Tournament is to kick-off today at the Multi Purpose Indoor Sports Hall Bauchi State, BSNSports.com.ng reports. The tournament which is between North East States is aimed towards developing and promoting the game of basketball in the zone with this year's edition taking place in Bauchi State. Host Bauchi, Gombe, Adamawa, Taraba, Yobe, Borno and Plateau States are teams competing in this year's edition which is expected to run between Wednesday 20th of May to Saturday 22nd of May. Games have been scheduled to run in two sessions, morning and evening. The morning session is between 9am to 12noon while the second session is to run between 3pm to 6pm. Speaking on the zonal competition, the coordinator, Ajibarede Bello said the tourney is aimed at developing the game in North-East, discover new talents and create a platform for players to compete among themselves.
