Produce Court Order That Stop FG From NFF Arraignment - SPIP By Adeola Adegunroye The Special Presidential Investigative Panel on Recovery of Public Property has said that there is no court order stopping the arraignment of Nigeria Football Federation President, Amaju Pinnick, Secretary General, Dr Sanusi Mohammed, 1st Vice-Presodent, Seyi Akinwunmi, 2nd Vice-President Shehu Dikko, and Ahmed Yusuf 'Fresh' at the Federal High Court Abuja. The Panel while reacting to the NFF 14-paragraph statement released on Tuesday denying having knowledge of the Federal Government charging the Federation to any court, says their excuses holds no water and that nothing can stop them from doing their job. NFF in the statement described the allegation as orchestrated media trials desperately and maliciously put together by Okoi Obono-Obla led-Special Presidential Investigative Panel (SPIP) adding that it was the Federation that filed a suit (with suit No:FHC/ABJ/CS/17/2019) against SPIP challenging the competence of the Panel to investigate or prosecute NFF chieftains. Meanwhile, SPIP has said that no court can stop a suspect from coming to a court to defend himself and challenged anyone to come out with any documents which stops the Panel from carrying out its job. The SPIP insisted that nothing will stop the government agency from performing its duty in which the law backed them up to do. The Panel had on Tuesday 7th May 2019 in a 17-count charge, marked FHC/ABJ/CR/93/019, filed before the Federal High Court Abuja for alleged misappropriation of $8,400. The money was said to be paid by Federation International deal Football Association (FIFA) to the NFF as appearance fees in the group stage of the Russia 2018 World Cup. The defendant were also charged for failing to declare their assets.
