NPFL: Eguma Hails Rivers United Players For Win Over Rangers

Head Coach of the Rivers United Stanley Eguma has explained why the match against rival Rangers International of Enugu was tough for them, BSNsports.com.ng can report.
The Pride of Rivers who has been on a scintillating form since the start of the league has to labour hard before they secure a 1-0 win over the hard fighting Flying Antelope.
He further revealed why is also difficult for his team to continue to get maximum points on the road.
" One would have expected this kind of position from the Rangers because a team that is in contention for the title is just like Rivers United.
"I expected a tough match and I'm not surprised that they came here to fight for their lives.
"I have to commend my players, we won this game because they gave their best.
"No two games are the same, every match is different, we tried to map out a strategy to get points either home or away but sometimes we settled for a draw in away games not that we plan to get a draw but the opposition is strong that you cannot get the 3 points.
"I think we have gotten maximum points away and we picked some draws, I believed that at the end of the season we will improve on our performance," he said.
Rivers United pipped Rangers 1-0 I'm one of the NPFL Matchday 14 played on Sunday.
