NPFL: Chijioke Alakwe Says Brace Against Delta Force Will Spur Him On To Score More Goals

FC Ifeanyi Ubah captain who was recruited at the beginning of the season by Kano Pillars FC, Chijioke Alakwe says his brace against Delta Force in the seven Goals thriller in the NPFL match-day 7 between Kano Pillars and Delta Force will spur him on to score more goals, BSNSports.com.ng can report.
Alaekwe who scored the 5th and 6th goal in twelve minutes after coming on in the second half as substitute added the Delta Force thrusting and the resurgence of the Kano Pillars will help them achieve maximum points in Lafia.
Speaking exclusively to BSN Sports, Chijioke Alaekwe said: "I waited long to score two good goals in this match, this will be my first two goals in this season in the colour of Kano Pillars. I am grateful to God for a privilege like this which I will not forget so soon.
"Though at some point it looked as if my scoring abilities was fray in front of goals. Right now i think my confidence has been restored going by my present performance .
"I am looking forward to scoring more goals for my new club , a team full of character and great optimism despite its early rough start . I believe the difficult moments are over for us as a team and we are back to winning ways with a great team confidence looking at our last three matches played so far.
"We will stay committed to same winning mentality as we prepare for our next match against Nasarawa United.
