In Lagos, Rivers United continued their impressive performance in the league as they recorded an emphatic 1-3 win against host MFM FC. Wikki Tourists recovered from the home defeat they suffered last weekend by picking up an away win against Dakkada FC. Abubakar Aliyu netted the only goal of the game in the 65th as Wikki secured maximum point. At the Dipo Dina stadium in Ijebu Ode, Sunshine Stars defeated visiting Gombe United 2-0 with goals from Promise Orji and Babatunde Bello in the 5th and 46 minutes. Shooting Stars continued their poor start in the NPFL as they suffered a 2-0 defeat to Niger Tornadoes at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja. Usule Martins opened the scoring for Tornadoes in the 30th minute before Munir Idris sealed the game with a second goal in the 59th minute. Winless streak of Katsina United continues as they were held to a goalless draw at home by Lobi Stars of Makurdi. The game between Plateau United and Nasarwa United produced 5 goals with host scoring 3 while the visitors scored two goals. Sunday Anthony netted the first goal for Plateau United in the 5th minute but Uche Ihurulam equalised in the 38th minute. Akile Jesse restored Plateau lead 52nd minute before Mohammed Zulkifilu made 3-1 8 minutes later. Tochukwu Michael made it respectable results for the Solid Miners as reduced the deficit to 3-2.
