Barely four days to the start of the 2021/2022 Nigeria professional football league season, Kwara United Chairman, Kumbi Titiloye has underlined the target of the club, BSNsports.com.ng can report.
Despite leading the league table for sometimes last season, the Afonja Warriors failed to pick a continental ticket at the end of the season
Kumbi made known an impression of the club during the unveiling of 12 newly acquired players for the season.
" We want to be professional as much as possible in our engagements on and off the pitch, and we want to do better than what we achieved last season and that can only be possible with the support of all of us in the state and beyond," he said.
The players unveiled include former Kano Pillars and league top scorer Junior Lokosa, Tiza Samuel, Amaefule Chizoba, Michael Bolaji, Nwokeji Chiemeka, Tanko Mark, and Udeagha Chinedu.
Others were Abubakar Idris, Muritala Lateef, Adebambo Ademola, Samad Kadri and Joel Isyaq.
The Abdullah Biffo-led team will face Dakkada FC in the opening game of the season.
