By Sampson Adedeji
As the match-day 10 of Nigeria Professional Football League beckons, head coach of Akwa United, Kennedy Boboye, has said that they are not expecting an easy fixture against Nasarawa United, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The Promise Keepers will hope to continue its impressive run in the league while Nasarawa United will be willing to return back to winning ways after suffering back to back defeats.
While speaking to the club media ahead of Sunday's game, Boboye praised his players for their resilient and consistency but said they are not resting on their oars.
“I’m very proud of my players because they are committed and determined to play and get the needed result. It has taken us some time but we are beginning to get the right attitude and character that we need for the task ahead.
“At the moment, our focus is on the match against Nasarawa United.
"We know it’s going to be a tough one, but we have to go into the game with the same winning mentality we have shown in our recent matches.
"We are going to Lafia to fight for maximum points and my players are in top shape to give their all," he said.
Akwa United are placed 6th on the log with 15 points in 9 matches.
