Head Coach of Shooting Stars Edith Agoye has opened up on the sudden turnaround of the club in the ongoing league season, BSNsports.com.ng can report.
The Oluyole Warriors started the season on a shaky note, recording unimpressive results both home and away.
The team has now succeeded in winning three consecutive games in the league scoring 7 goals and conceding just once.
They were on top of their game on Wednesday as they thrashed struggling Heartland FC of Owerri 4-0 in matchday 10.
While reacting to the outcome of the match, Agoye said hard work is the reason they have been recording fruitful results.
"There is no secret other than hard work, hard work and hard work and the belief of the players that they could turn things around.
"They did it against Kwara United with the last-minute goal, that was the turning around we needed. In Lagos, they repeated the same feat against MFM; And today, the players marked themselves present on the field of play."
"We are very happy that we are winning games, we've been playing well ever since but unfortunately we didn't take our chances and this has contributed to us losing games but now we've been converting chances and players kept it tight as well, it is difficult for the opponent to score. This has been the tonic we needed and we got it," he said.
Shooting Stars will hope to continue their impressive form when they face high flying Remo Stars in the matchday 11 in Ikenne, Ogun State.
