NPFL: Akwa United clinch second win, Wikki edge Enyimba; Sunshine, Plateau suffer loss

Former Enyimba international forward Mfon Udoh open scoring in the half hour mark with a sublime finish. The promise keeper failed to record a win in their opening four games of the season, but redeemd their way back. In Lafia, Nasarawa United edged out Plateau United 2-1. Abdulrahmam Bashir gave Enyimba the lead in the 10th minute but the home team rallied back through a brace by Abba Umar who hit the target in the 28th and 48th minutes respectively. The Managerial changes at Niger Tornadoes quickly paid off as Minna based side stun Sunshine stars 1-0 with Ibrahim Tanko scoring the crucial goal in the 13th minutes of the game.
