NPFL: Ali returns, as Pillars secure away win

After so much wait Kano Pillars secured their first win of the season against high flying Akwa Starlets in their Nigeria Professional Football League week one rescheduled matche, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Mai Su Gida boys have been struggling since the start of the new league season as they fail to win in their first five matches of the season.

The suspended team skipper Rabiu Ali returned to the team line up as his presence was felt immediately as he provided an assist for Nyima Nwagua to open the scoring in the 27th minute.

Moses Effiong leveled the game in the 75th minute before Nwagua completed his brace in the 78th minute and ensured that pillars secured a 1-2 seat win

The victory made it the first time Pillars will win this season.
