NPFL: Armed Robbers Attack Enyimba Players in Okigwe

After securing a 0-2 away win against Adamawa United in the Nigeria Professional Football League, Enyimba International football club were attacked by dare-devil armed robbers on Thursday evening , March 19, while heading to Aba, Abia state.

The victorious team was returning back to their in Aba but their bus was attacked on their way to home after NPFL has been suspended.

It was reported that one player was injured during the incident which happened around Enugu-Okigwe-Umuahia Expressway in Okigwe , Imo State.

The team bus side mirror was reportedly smashed by the robbers as they made away with players valuables and left a player in a pool of blood.

Enyimba International FC are 5th on the NPFL log with 36 points from 20 matches.
