NPFL: Chikatara returns to Nigeria

Ahead of the 2019 Nigeria Professional Football League season, Akwa United continue to strengthen their team to meet the task at ahead.

BSN reports that Akwa United showed a lot of promises during the regular 2018/19 season, but the Promise Keeper failed to live up to expectations at the Super 6 played at the Agege stadium in Lagos.

The team has announced the capture of former Abia Warrior striker Chisom Chikatara on year loan deal from the Egyptian club.

Former Dream Team VI star played in the Moroccan Botola league for Wydad Casablanca before switching to Egypt.

Chikatara played an active role for Nigeria Dream Team VI at the U23 African Cup of Nations in 2015.
