Nasarawa United head coach, Bala Nkiyu is not traveling with his team's Nigeria Professional Football League match-day 5 trip to Akwa United, BSNSports.com.ng can authoritatively report.

Bala, who led the Solid Miners to emerge champions in the 2019 Alhan Preseason tournament has failed to consolidate on the feat in the 2019/20 NPFL season as Nasarawa United are presently in the bottom of the league.

The former Nigeria Women U17 national team coach promoted Nasarawa United from Nigeria second tier league (NNL) to the NPFL few years ago.

With his absence in the team's bench in NPFL match-day 5 game against Akwa United today, there have been rumours as to whether the tactician is looking forward to joining another NPFL team or the team management is about to show him the exit door.

All efforts to reach coach Bala Nkiyu before going to press proved abortive.
