NPFL: Delta Force Chairman, Attacked, Hospitalised By Admin www.bsnsports.com.ng scooped that Chairman of Delta Force Football Club of Asaba Mr. Emmanuel Chidi-Okonkwo was on Sunday reportedly attacked by an organized mob action led by a player of Ifeanyi Ubah FC at the Ifeanyi Ubah Stadium Nnewi. According to report, the player Uche Onuorah who was a second half substitute had attacked the Delta Force Chairman immediately after the match had ended 2-1 in favour of the hosts. The Chairman who was leaving the stadium was interacting with a friend when Onourah who is still a registered player of Delta Force had accused the Chairman of being biased towards him. The Chairman in the process lost a gold plated Rolex wrist watch, a gold chain and his wallet which contained two thousand six hundred US dollars and three hundred and twenty Ghanaian CEDI's. The Chairman who was eventually rescued by some friends is currently undergoing medical attention at an undisclosed hospital in Asaba. Meanwhile the players of Delta Force were also held hostage inside the dressing room after the match. But were eventually left to go following the intervention of some security operatives and some Ifeanyi Ubah officials. The same mob had earlier intimidated the match officials at the end of the first half with the security operatives at the stadium granting the mob unfettered access to the referees dressing room. The match which was dominated by the Delta Ambassadors for the better part of the game saw the hosts opening scoring in the eighth minute through a penalty scored by Uchenna Ihearulam. The Coach Mangut Mbwas Ayuba tutored side drew level in the twenty second minute through Nnamani Emmanuel who swept in a cross to send jitters down the spine of the hosts. Ifeanyi Ubah FC eventually had their noses in front late in the game following a blunder by former CHAN Super Eagles goalkeeper Chigozie Agbim dropped ball. An indirect kick was awarded by the center referee was converted by the hosts in the seventy eighth minute through Chidi Madu.
