NPFL: Dikko Denies Taking League To China

By Sampson Adedeji

Contrary to the reports emanating from the certain section of the media that the concluding part of the Nigeria Professional Football League might concluded in China, the chairman of the League Management Company (LMC) Mallam Shehu Dikko has debunked the claim.

Dikko earlier on Thursday was quoted on a Radio program in Lagos saying the concluding part of league may be taking to China for safety, BSN Reports.

" why would I suggest will take the league to China with all logistics and attendant this would entails, it's absurd and fake news.

It’s simply FAKE NEWS… Sad though this is how low some can go in the name of driving traffic to their sites…. Just yesterday Mauritania FA said they will be spending 3million Mauritania Francs (about $320k) to support their system and someone deliberately reported that they will be spending $3m USD so it will trend," he stated.

The league has been a halt since mid March and the resumption date is yet to be announce.
