NPFL: Enyimba Delay Finidi Appointment As Technical Adviser

After proper deliberations and scrutiny, Nigeria Professional Football League side, Enyimba International are few hours away from appointing the former Nigeria's Super Eagles winger, Finidi George as the Technical Adviser, Bsnsports.com.ng can report.
The People's Elephants under Fatai Osho performed below the set target finishing the 2020/2021 season third on the league table, meaning it is out of CAF Champions League slot.
The former African champions started their 2020/21 season continental campaign in the CAF Champions League before they crashed out to Al-Merrikh of Sudan and dropped to the Confederation Cup.
Both parties are expected to round up the deal in few hours, the details of the deal which will see Finidi becomes the Technical Adviser will made public by the club.
In a chat with BSN Sports the former Ajax Amsterdam winger said, "We have had talks but waiting for the club to round up."
They lost out in the quarter-final of the Confederation Cup to FC Pyramids of Egypt without finishing on favourable position on the table.
In order to commence preparations for the new season and continental campaign that will start later this month, the club management on Thursday Finidi as the club technical adviser.
Finidi during his playing days, represented Sharks of Port-Harcourt in the league before he moved to Dutch Eredivisie side Ajax Amsterdam.
While with Ajax, Finidi won several laurels including Dutch leagues, Dutch cup, UEFA Champions League, Super Cup, World club cup, etc.
He was part of triumphant Nigeria's Super Eagles to 1994 African Cup of Nations in Tunisia, was also part of the team to 1994 World Cup in the United States.
He will be expected to lead Enyimba back to the league title and also continental glory.
