NPFL: Enyimba Edge Lobi Stars In Aba

Enyimba international moved within the touching distance of league leaders Akwa United after defeating Lobi Stars 2-1 in one of their outstanding matches played at the Enyimba Int'l Stadium, Aba on Wednesday, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The People's Elephant were without two of their key players goalkeeper John Noble and winger Anayo Iwuala who are presently in Austria with Super Eagles.
Victor Mbaoma broke the deadlock in the 7th minute before Farouk Mohammed double the lead in the 42nd minute from the penalty spot.
An improved performance in the second stanza by the visitors earned in the 50th minute with Ossy Martins converting from the penalty spot after Farouk of Enyimba obstructed Chilekwu's free kick in the 18-yard box but Enyimba held on to secure maximum points.
The two time Africa champion are now 7 points behind leader Akwa United with 3 outstanding games left for them to play.
