NPFL: Enyimba Shock MFM, As Rangers Hold Lobi Stars

The two Nigeria's representatives in the CAF confederations cup recorded an encouraging results in one of their rescheduled matches played on Wednesday.

At the Agege stadium in Lagos, the league defending Champion Enyimba secured an away win against host MFM FC of Lagos.

The first stanza of the keenly contested match ended goalless before forward Abdulrahman Bashir netted the only goal of the game in the 70th minute and make sure that the Peoples Elephant secured maximum points.

Enugu Rangers was able to secured a valuable away point at the Aper Aku stadium in Markurdi as the held host Lobi Stars to a 1-1 draw.

Former Sunshine stars striker Israel Abia gave Rangers the lead in the 43rd minutes but Pride of Benue responded almost immediately with a leveler from Samuel Mathias on the stroke of halftime.

All the efforts of both teams to increase the tally proved abortive as the game ended in a stalemate.
