NPFL: Ezenwa returns to Heartland

Nigeria's Super Eagles goalkeeper Okechukwu Ezenwa has returned to Heartland of Owerri from Katsina United, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Heartland FC have just appointed former MFM FC of Lagos coach Fidelis Ilechukwu as their new coach who has already started working round the clock to reposition the club ahead of the new season.

Ezenwa has earlier has stint with the club before moving to Enyimba two seasons ago and then spending last season with Katsina United.

The club announced the recapture of the lanky goaltender for an undisclosed fee and subject to medical with unveiling set for any moment from now.

Ezenwa was part of Nigeria's Super Eagles to 2019 African Cup of Nations in Egypt and was in goal when Madagascar defeated Nigeria 2-0 at the final match of the group stage.
