NPFL: Fatai Osho Bids Enyimba Goodbye By Our Reporter Former Enyimba coach, Fatai Osho has penned a heart-rending farewell note to the club and their fans as his two-year stint with the Peoples' Elephant came to an end on Thursday, September 2, 2021. The former Remo Stars handler expressed his gratitude to coaches, players and management for their roles in 2020 Nigeria Professional Football League triumphant campaign. The statement read: "I use this medium to thank everyone for my journey of two years with this great club and institution which has now come to an end. I want to thank all the players, coaches and management that have made it possible for us to achieve the little we were able to achieve during my time. I remain greatly indebted to your great support and cooperation through thick and thin. I remain a huge fan of this massive club forever. I appreciate you all. I can't just thank you enough. NZOGBU!...NZOGBU!!...ENYIMBA...ENYI!!!!!!!!." Osho took up the reins at Enyimba in 2019 as a replacement for Usman Abdallah and guided the team to the league title and CAF Champions League ticket. They were eliminated in the First Round of the competition and relegated to Confederation Cup where they were eliminated at the quarter-finals. Under his tutelage, Enyimba finished third behind Akwa United and Rivers United in the 2020-2021 NPFL season, and will represent the country in CAF Confederation Cup alongside Aiteo Cup winners, Bayelsa United.
