NPFL: Gambo Back To Kano Pillars As Assistant Coach Sampson Adedeji Nigeria Professional Football League side Kano Pillars has announced his former player Muhammed Gambo as the assistant coach of the club, BSNsports.com.ng can report. Gambo started his professional career with Abuja FC in 2005 before he moved to Pillars in 2006 where he stayed till 2018. He was part of the Mai Su Gida boys that won the league three times; 2007–08, 2011–12, 2014 The club on Sunday afternoon announced his appointment through his news outlet. "We are delighted to announce to the general public that our former captain, Gambo Muhammad has rejoined the Sai Masu Gida as an Assistant Coach," the club said. During his 12 years stay with Pillars, Gambo scored 70 goals in 200 matches to make himself one of the legends of the team. Gambo who last featured for Katsina United in the league also has 4 caps for Nigeria's Super Eagles and was part of the team to FIFA Confederation Cup in Brazil in 2013 under late coach Stephen Keshi.
