By Omolagba Oluwayemi
Abia Warriors returned to winning ways with a slim victory over Rangers yesterday as Heartland FC also gets the better of Lobi Stars in the double header at the Okigwe Township Stadium, BSNsports.com.ng reports.
In the afternoon kick-off between Heartland FC Lobi Stars, Chidera Eze's direct free-kick in 38th minute gave Heartland a 1-0 lead into the break, and two minutes before the hour mark, Samuel Nnoshiri made it 2-0 for the Naze Millionaires.
Imama Amapakabo's Abia Warriors pipped Rangers by a lone goal in the South East derby.
It was Paul Samson's 25 yards short that settled the contest, and he could have made it 2-0 in 70th minute but the woodwork denied his beautiful free-kick the entry into the net.
