  NPFL: Ibrahim Musa Replaces Lionel As Kano Pillars Coach By Sampson Adedeji All not seems to be well in the camp of Nigeria Professional Football League Club Kano Pillars as the team head coach Lionel Soccia tendered his resignation letter, BSNSports.com.ng reports. The French gaffer joined the team before the start of the continental campaign but failed to take the them past Senegalese opponents, ASC Jaaraf in the CAF Confederation Cup. The soft spoken coach decided to dump the team on Wednesday claiming they were owning him five months salary. Meanwhile, team media officer, Idris Malikawa said they will carefully study his resignation letter while also announcing that assistant coach Ibrahim Musa will temporarily take charge of the team. “We are now busy preparing to face Kwara Utd and after the match, we would look at the other issues including that of the TA’s matter, Malikawa said. According to Malikawa, in the entire history of Kano Pillars FC, the have never maltreated any coach they worked with and has assured that the team would study Mr. Lionel’s contract for necessary action. He said, the action of the Technical Adviser did not go down well with the club and has described Mr. Lionel as a complete gentleman. On the issue of interference, Malikawa said, the management have never interfered in the affairs of the coaches and any other department of the club. Henceforth, Ibrahim A. Musa will take charge of the club pending further decisions to be taken at the club. Malikawa then called on the players to be focused for the task ahead and should not allow this development distract them.
