NPFL: Insurance Get First win, Pip Lobi Stars

Bendel Insurance FC of Benin pipped Lobi Stars of Makurdi by a lone goal to record their first win in the Nigeria Professional Football League match day 6, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Benin Arsenal skipper, Charles Omokaro struck for his side in the 71st minutes which sent the home fans into jubilation at the University of Benin Sports complex.
Insurance had earlier missed several scoring chances in the first half which ended goalless after brilliant display of skills and attacking football against the visiting NPFL reigning champions who struggled to keep with the pace and agility of the home team.

Insurance now have six points from five games and will be travelling to Katsina in search of first away win against Katsina United on Thursday.

Speaking after the victory the chief coach of Insurance Baldwin Bazuaye expressed delight over the result and commended his boys show of resilience and sense of commitment.
He added that the best of the young Insurance is yet to come.
"I am very happy for the win which is our first this season. I commend the efforts of y players for doing a great job. If they continue this way, then, we shall soon be at the right place on the log." Bazuaye said.
