NPFL: Jagawa Golden Star Defeat Lobi Stars As NPFL Returns

After almost a month mid-season break, the Nigeria Professional Football League resumed it's second stanza today with the match between Jigawa Golden Stars and Lobi Stars, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Despite playing away from home, Lobi Stars dominated the match.
Host goalkeeper Sochima was forced into double saves twice to deny Lobi Stars the opener ensuring the first half ended barren.
Introduction of Sani Bature and Abdullahi Lala for Jigawa Golden Stars in the 53rd minute helped them seized control of the game from Lobi Stars and with about 13 minutes of their introduction, the referee awarded Jigawa a penalty which was well taken by Samuel stone.
Matthias Samuel silent the home crowd in the 84th minute when he scored from a rebounds after goalkeeper Sochima spill out a freekick, levelling the scores for the visitors, and with only 3 minutes left to play, Lala who was introduced in the second half scored the winner to hand the host the maximum points.
